An Icon meets a Legend. Trail-blazing television writer D.C. Fontana will sit down with fan fave Jane Espenson (Once Upon a Time) for a special evening at the Writers Guild of America, West. A presentation of the WGAW’s Committee of Women Writers and Career Longevity Committee, Fontana will discuss the impact and legacy of her pioneering career and body of work.


In celebration of Women’s History Month, the event will be held Thursday 3/26 at 7:30PM with a reception to follow.

Still working as a writer-producer in her 70s, Fontana is best known for her acclaimed contributions to the Star Trek franchise, having penned episodes of the original Star Trek series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Star Trek; Deep Space Nine, as well as episodes of Babylon 5 and Earth: Final Conflict. Her prolific string of TV writing credits also includes such shows as The Waltons, Dallas, Bonanza, The Six Million Dollar Man, Kung Fu, The Streets of San Francisco, and Logan’s Run. A Writers Guild member since 1960, Fontana is a past Morgan Cox Award honoree who has served two terms on the WGAW’s Board of Directors.
