BinderCon, a conference for, on, and by women, trans and gender non-conforming writers, will open in Los Angeles March 19 and 20th. Held at UCLA, BinderCon is a professional development conference dedicated to advancing the careers of women and gender non-conforming writers. While an AFF e-mailer mistakenly said that men are not allowed to attend, the FAQs say, “Ticket sales are open to the public, i.e. we cannot regulate who will buy a ticket to attend the conference, and all ticketholders will be admitted. However, all speakers, panelists, scholars and volunteers, will be women, trans, and gender non-conforming people. We ask our male allies to acknowledge and respect the fact that this is a conference for, on, and by women, trans and gender non-conforming writers.”
The Twitter feed is offering an opportunity to win tickets while there is also a sale through the 20th.
