Princess Elena, Disney’s newest heroine, will go toe to toe with Jane Fonda.

Already her television show, Elena of Avalor, regularly bests the ratings of Anderson Cooper and Rachel Maddow, and now she’ll get a TV movie which will air November 20 on both Disney Channel and Disney Junior. It’s a Disney team-up with Elena and Sofia of Enchancia joining forces to defeat the evil sorceress Shuriki, voiced by legendary actress Jane Fonda. Elena and the Secret of Avalor will also feature the debut of Elena’s anthem “My Time,” performed by Aimee Carrero.

In addition, Disney Publishing will release a hardcover picture book titled Elena of Avalor: Elena and the Secret of Avalor on October 18,

Combining the forces of Elena of Avalor and Sofia the First, the TV movie was written by Craig Gerber and directed by Jamie Mitchell, both of whom serve as executive producers. John Kavanaugh serves as songwriter/music director and Kevin Kliesch is the composer. Elena and the Secret of Avalor is a production of Disney Television Animation and carries a TV-Y parental guideline.
