Killing off beloved characters has become routine these days. Not like the old days when JR getting shot was the moment that shook the world. The practice has become so mundane that viewers may have become anesthetized when a character bites the dust. ABC seems to have a knack for the killing. But do they have to take glee in getting rid of hot-bodied men?

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. - "The Man Behind the Shield" - Mace fights for his life while Coulson and team find themselves in a deadly cat-and-mouse game as they attempt his rescue, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network. Tonight’s Marvel’s Agents of Shield episode re-confirmed the demise of Jason O’Mara’s character, Director Jeffrey Mace. The Russian boasted about taking a sledge hammer to his corpse. O’Mara may be the hottest Daddy since Gregory Peck.

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. - ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie. (ABC/Matthias Clamer)

Mack also may be a casualty. While show co-creator Maurissa Tancharoen hinted that love-interest Yo-Yo may try to save him, Mack, played the “OMFG, he’s so hot he can’t be real” Henry Simmons, chose to stay in the Framework, a mental pretend-world that is so immersive that it renders the real person hostage.

QUANTICO - "Stescalade" - The new CIA recruits continue training at The Farm focusing on assessment, while in the future, Alex goes undercover to infiltrate the terrorist group holding everyone hostage where she is shocked to discover not everyone is a stranger on "Quantico," airing SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Giovanni Rufino) AARON DIAZAnother on ABC’s hit list was Leon on Quantico. While his dead body was dumped in the bathtub, we didn’t even get the pleasure of seeing his hot-but-alas-cold corpse one more time. We just saw his wrist dripping blood.

While not as dramatic as the others, another ABC show, The Catch dumped three hot males, Agent Jules Dao (Jackie Ido), Reginald (Alimi Ballard), and Agent Shawn Sullivan (Caleb Smith). Granted, new addition Gina Torres turned up the hotness factor for The Catch which is the sexiest show you’re not watching.

Michael on Jane the Virgin may have died a shocking death, what’s more astonishing is the emasculation of Rafael played by porn-worthy Justin Baldoni. He rarely takes off his shirt these days, and that’s a damn shame.

And let’s not forget dear Wes on How To Get Away with Murder. Though I still feel sleazy for lusting after him as I still think of him as Dean Thomas from the Harry Potter films.

When did television become Game of Thrones?
